Overview
Research in the academical libraries of Cambridge in the early 1980’s confirmed the existence of masses of academic output on the subject of Paradox that left readers understanding less about them the more it was studied – it amounted to words, words, words.
The reason why this unhelpful position was self-evident is that the text referred relentlessly to ‘contradictions’, without reference to balance, or opposites, which was inadequate by definition and precluded the prospect of a sound understanding as to what a paradox is, or why its meaning is essentially important to Life.
Rising to the challenge of this important deficiency, analysts identified the inadequacy and set about refining an adequate criterion that actually satisfied the complete definition of a paradox, and their imperative relevance to Life.
Although formally published in the late 1980’s, the outcome has yet to impact significantly on the common understanding of Life, or the related commonplace harmful misunderstandings.
When the sound understanding eventually impacts on human comprehension, many centuries-old misunderstandings will be unmasked as needlessly harmful and unhelpful.
